Introducing our Head Chef at Alexander House

With the opening of our care home in Pinhoe right around the corner, our Head Chef and catering team have been practicing creating delicious and delectable meals for our future residents.

At Alexander House Care Home, we know how important food is. For some, it is an interest that forms part of a hobby. For all, it plays an integral part in our overall health and wellbeing.

That's why our Head Chef, Karen is already busy making plans and seasonal menus to delight our future residents with.

Karen is excited about taking on this role at Alexander House Care Home and commented:

"I believe in the importance of bringing fresh food to our residents who are at the heart of everything we prepare, cook, and serve. Nutrition, balance, and choice are at our core when it comes to creating a dining experience for our residents.

Good food is the foundation of happiness here at Alexander House Care Home and we will strive to ensure that we provide appetizing and delicious menus to all our future residents, which will have a direct and positive impact on their wellbeing and quality of life".

Karen has been getting creative in the kitchen and has practiced a couple of dishes that we look forward to providing our residents with, including a fresh fruit selection, tomato and chive vinegarette starter, and a variety of homebaked treats for afternoon tea.

Residents at Alexander House Care Home will be provided with breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as have food available to them throughout the day. Our catering team will also regularly put together afternoon teas, coffee mornings, and Sunday lunches, to enjoy both my residents as well as relatives and members of the local community.

Whether it's in the comfort of their own rooms, with fellow residents in the dining room, on the garden patio on a summers day, or with relatives in our private dining room, there are a variety of ways in which residents will be able to dine at Alexander House Care Home.
