Nothing beats a sunny afternoon outdoors, and residents at Alexander House Care Home made the most of exactly that this summer, spending plenty of time enjoying the fresh air and sunshine in our private garden.
Garden Games, Fresh Air and Good Company
Whether taking part in garden games, enjoying some fresh air or simply sitting outside for a chat, residents found countless ways to enjoy our outdoor space throughout the warmer months. The relaxed pace of garden life gave everyone the chance to slow down, soak up the sunshine and spend quality time together away from the usual indoor routine.
Our private garden has long been one of the most loved spaces at Alexander House, and this summer proved exactly why. With raised flower beds, shaded seating areas and plenty of room to stroll, it offers residents a peaceful retreat right on their doorstep, whatever they fancy doing with their afternoon.

A Change of Scenery, Whatever the Weather Allowed
The warmer days also gave our activities team the perfect excuse to take things outside. From arts and crafts to quiet reading sessions, moving activities into the garden gave residents a welcome change of scenery and a different backdrop to enjoy their favourite pastimes. It's a small shift that makes a real difference, swapping four walls for open skies and fresh air whenever the weather allows.
A Space Residents Love All Year Round
Summer may be behind us, but our private garden remains a much-loved part of everyday life at Alexander House, whatever the season. It's a space designed with residents firmly in mind, offering room to relax, potter among the flower beds, or simply enjoy a cup of tea outdoors with friends.
If you'd like to see our garden for yourself, you can explore our Private Garden to find out more about this much-loved space, or get in touch to book a tour and experience life at Alexander House Care Home in person.
