A resident in a brown hat at the Barn Dance

Barn Dance Fun

It was with great joy that Alexander House Care Home hosted a barn dance for residents, family, friends, staff, and members of the community last week.

After an extremely successful tea dance, we decided to host another dance-themed event for our community, but this time with a country-western twist!

It was a fun-filled event for everyone who attended, and as always, our wonderful team went all out with decorations, including a barn door backdrop, bunting, and hay bales.

The theme didn't stop there, as our residents, visitors, and staff even dressed up in boots, checked shirts, and cowboy vests and hats.

Alongside the fantastic dancing and chatting, there was also the opportunity to sit down and enjoy a well-earned drink and meal.

We have hosted some wonderful events recently, and we love doing so, as they provide entertainment and social opportunities to our residents, as well as strengthen the bonds and relationships of those in our community.

Our dances especially have provided great reminiscence to our residents, as well as the mental and physical benefits that come with dancing.

Our residents are at the core of everything we do, and as well as providing health care to our residents, we are equally here to support their wellbeing, which we continue to do by listening to the needs and interest of our residents, and providing them with a person-centred experience.

We look forward to hosting more events at Alexander House Care Home in the coming months. If you would like to find our more information about our events, or day-to-day life at our care home in Exeter, then we welcome you to get in contact.
