Staff Celebrate Christmas

Members of the team prepare an afternoon social

The staff at Alexander House Care Home recently gathered for some Christmas celebrations ahead of our care home in Exeter opening in the new year.

As we readily await for our first residents to join us in the new year, the staff at Alexander House Care Home have celebrated all their hard efforts in preparing the home with a Christmas buffet.

Our two Kitchen Assistants, Lola, and Kimberley were tasked with making a Christmas buffet for the staff party and have been busy practicing their culinary skills. They sourced the ingredients, costed it, went shopping, and researched ways of presenting the food.

It was their first attempt and their hard work paid off as they did a fabulous job. It had to be a cold buffet as the kitchen is non-operational at the moment, but Lola and Kimberley are very much excited to start cooking delicious meals for our residents to enjoy, as well as catering for many special occasions, alongside our Head Chef Karen.

At Alexander House Care Home, we highly value our staff as individuals and as a team. It is important to us that we create a culture where everyone shares the same values and passion for working together to achieve high-quality care. The values we live by are being kind, passionate, trusted, respectful, and inclusive.

We adopt these values in our approach to care too, so no matter whether it's with residents or one another, we work as a unit to deliver the very best in care, accommodation, facilities, and activities.

We look forward to welcoming our first residents in 2023 and welcoming members of the local community into our home. From everyone at Alexander House Care Home, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
