The Grand Opening of our Care Home in Pinhoe

Last Thursday 18th May, our team at Alexander House was delighted to host the official grand opening of our care home in Pinhoe, Exeter, which was attended by our residents, relatives, staff, healthcare professionals, and members of our local community.

It was a wonderful turnout and we are so appreciative of the support we have received during this exciting time for our brand new, luxury purpose-built care home, that has been designed to serve our local community of Pinhoe. We also welcomed a visit from Westclyst Community Primary School who treated us to an amazing medley of songs.

The event was a great opportunity for our residents to meet lots of new people and guests were also given the chance to take a tour of our home and see firsthand the wide range of first-class facilities we have to offer.

On these tours, guests were able to look around and see the facilities that provide our residents with a full and enriching lifestyle, such as our beautifully decorated lounges and dining areas, hair salon, cinema, and private garden.

We were also very fortunate that the sun was shining for us, and we were joined by special guest Lord Mayor of Exeter, Councillor Kevin Mitchell who officially opened the home with the support of some of our lovely residents.

We feel very lucky to have received such a warm and welcoming reception from the Lord Mayor of Exeter, Councillor Kevin Mitchell, and those in our wider community, and we look forward to making those in our community feel proud and well-supported by our range of care services and exceptional facilities here at Alexander House Care Home.

Following the official opening, there was then more time for getting to know one another, enjoying a glass of fizz, and tucking into the fantastic spread of hors d'oeuvres and cake that our Head Chef and kitchen team put together.

We would like to give a big thank you again to everyone who came along and enjoyed the entertainment, and refreshments and celebrated the grand opening of our care home with us. We look forward to this new journey and we are very grateful for all the support now and in the future.
