Working With Exeter Food Action

Working Alongside Exeter Food Action

We are delighted to announce that Alexander House Care Home in Pinhoe will be a collection point for food donations for Exeter Food Action.

Exeter Food Action (EFA) is an organisation that distributes food to other charity organisations in Exeter and works in partnership with Fareshare South West in a bid to reduce the waste of food and fight hunger in this part of Devon.

EFA supports organisations whose missions are to help feed people and these include food banks, soup kitchens, hostels, community cafés, schools, hospices, and others.

Alexander House could not be prouder to be collaborating with EFA and are supporting them by being a drop-off / collection point for donations. We recongise that for many, this is going to be a tough winter, and through our partnership with EFA, we are supporting the most vulnerable people in our local community.

How you can help:

We are asking for food donations to help feed those who need it in our local area. You can help support the initiative by checking your cupboards for any unwanted goods or picking up an extra item or two on your next trip to the supermarket.

Dried and tinned food can be dropped off at our Reception at the following times:

  • Monday: 2pm - 4pm
  • Wednesday: 9am - 11am & 2pm - 4pm
  • Friday: 9am - 11am.

Alternatively, please get in touch and our team will be happy to arrange a local collection.
