Rhythm Comes to Life

Residents recently took part in lively and engaging Drum Devon workshops led by experienced drummer and teacher James Carr. The sessions offered participants a chance to explore rhythm and percussion in a welcoming and supportive environment.

With over 20 years of experience as a drummer and 18 years of teaching across the UK and internationally, James brings both expertise and enthusiasm to every session. His approachable teaching style encourages everyone to get involved, regardless of experience.

Exploring Rhythm Together

Participation, creativity and confidence are a big focus of The Drum Devon Workshops. These hands-on drumming sessions mean that our residents were able to learn and experience rhythm, practice basic percussion techniques and enjoy the activity together.

The sessions are designed to be accessible for all, creating inclusitivioty for residents meaning they are comfortable trying something new. Participants were encouraged to follow and even develop their own sense of musical expression engaging with the instruments.
