Casino Night

Alexander House Casino Night

We recently held a 'Casino Night' at our care home in Pinhoe, inviting our residents, their families, and members of the wider community to join us for some Las Vegas-themed fun!

In preparation for the event, our recent arts & crafts classes have also been themed, and our residents have enjoyed crafting signage and decorations featuring the different suits found in a deck of cards.

Along with our handmade crafts, we also decorated our reception and café lounge area with bunting, table dressings, and decals of Vegas and Elvis Presley to give our residents and guests the full experience. We also had roulette tables available for our residents and guests to play on.

Each participant received some fake dollars to play with and everyone had a great time playing, chatting away, and making memories with one another.

This was a great event and a huge success for our residents, staff, and visitors, all of whom were only too happy to get involved, espeically when it came to dressing up with our Vegas-themed props. It also gave families the opportunity to speak to our home manager, Amanda, and other members of staff in a more informal setting.

It is really important to us that we provide our residents with a varied activities programme that is full of engaging opportunities. Not only do we encourage our residents to socialise with one another but we also go to great lengths to ensure relatives also feel part of the family and that communication between residents and their loved ones is maintained.

Supporting our residents overall wellbeing is essential, and not only do we provide outstanding health care around-the-clock, but we also strive to give our residents a meaningful lifestyle. We want to bring the enjoyment factor to residents which is why we often hold different activities, host events, and organise trips into the community so that we can satisfy the needs of all our residents.

We look forward to hosting more events in the future for our residents, their loved ones, and the local community of Pinhoe.
